Ricky and Kristin get honored by GLAAD

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) today announced Ricky Martin and Kristin Chenoweth as honorees for the annual star-studded GLAAD Media Awards. Ricky Martin will receive the Vito Russo Award, named after one of GLAAD?s founders, for his work to promote equality through his new album, Musica+Alma+Sexo and his best-selling autobiography, Me, in New York on March 19. In LA on April 10, Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth will receive the Vanguard Award. She joins a list of straight allies who have received the Vanguard Award including Drew Barrymore, Antonio Banderas, Whoopi Goldberg and Elizabeth Taylor.

GLAAD previously announced nominees for the GLAAD Media Awards which include The Kids Are All Right and Easy A in the Outstanding Film category as well as Glee, Modern Family, True Blood and Pretty Little Liars in the Outstanding Drama and Comedy categories.
