Chick on a stick: Yohanna Ong takes pole position as Miss Pole Dance Singapore

It's taken just 18 months for Yohanna Ong to shimmy her way to become Singapore's top pole dancer.

Two years ago, Ong watched a performance by Linna Tan, Bobbi's Pole Studio Singapore's director and principal instructor. From that moment, the former figure skater knew she just had to take up the sport.

Ong soon picked up the skills, and the related arm and core muscles, to as emerge top dog.

Earlier this month, Ong wowed the 500-strong crowd that turned up at dbl O bar for the Miss Pole Dancing Singapore competition (organized by Bobbi's Pole Dance Studio Singapore) with her winning routine choreographed to the graceful music of "'Bella's Lullaby."
