Your favorite barbecue-loving southern couple is moving on up, to the East Side! The Food Network?s husband and wife team ? Pat and Gina Neely, who host Down Home With the Neelys, have opened a southern-style restaurant in the Big Apple! Neely?s Barbecue Parlor is located on New York City?s posh Upper East Side neighborhood. But home cooking isn?t all that?s on the menu -- the Neelys hope to have the space as a lovers' hideaway!
Pat explained, ?[This restaurant location] gives us some comfort, which is more of a neighborhood vibe. Like our place in Memphis. It?s also a quiet place that Gina and I can enjoy. So there?s some selfishness there, we want to be able to come eat and cuddle here.?
The forever doting wife, Gina replied, ?Pat and I are really down-home people, we?re like good friends. So, if I?m not with him, it feels like something is truly missing.?
Don?t be surprised if you see the two former high school sweethearts playing kissy face while you?re on your second helping of yummy ribs!
