Bravo to Delay Premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Following a meeting between cast members and executives on Tuesday, the September 5 premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will be pushed back by at least one week, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The delay, of course, is due to the Monday night suicide of Russell Armstrong. “People are concerned about being associated with the show and his passing,” an insider tells the publication, adding that some inside the network want to axe the season entirely. But that's unlikely to be the end result. It's unclear just how often Russell appears on season two. He is not present on the opener, but wife Taylor Armstrong discusses marriage counseling on the episode, and is also shown shopping for lingerie to help heat up the couple's sex life. As we all know, however, the pair filed for divorce this summer, with allegations of abuse hovering over Russell. Yesterday, his mother appeared on HLN and eerily said her son was afraid of how the show would "crucify" him in upcoming storylines. He killed himself weeks later.
